Find the class that fits you
Each age group gets its own hour on the mat. Adults train all levels together, which is the fastest way for a beginner to learn.
Tue and Thu 4:40 PM
Ages 3 to 5
A short, playful class for the youngest ones, before they are ready for the kids class. Listening, balance and rolling around, taught through games.
Mon to Fri 5:30 PM
Kids, ages 6 to 11
Balance, coordination and how to handle yourself, taught as a game first. Kids learn to be hard to bully without learning to start fights.
Mon to Thu 6:30 PM · Fri 5:30 PM
Teens, ages 12 to 16
Their own hour, between the kids class and the adults. Old enough to train properly, young enough that it should still be fun.
Mon to Thu 7:30 PM · Fri 6:30 PM
Adults, 16 and up
Beginners and experienced students on the same mat. You will not be thrown into sparring on day one, and nobody expects you to keep up in week one.

Coach Andre Nascimento
Fourth degree black belt · Professional MMA fighter · Head coach
Andre has spent his life on the mats. He comes from the Oswaldo Alves and Carlson Gracie lineage, two of the lines that produced the sport's best.
Chasing an MMA career, he moved to Rio de Janeiro and trained alongside fighters preparing for high-level competition. While there he was asked to help lead a Jiu-Jitsu social project, teaching children from underserved communities. Several of those students went on to earn black belts and now teach themselves, including at Kyra Gracie's academy, Gracie Kore, in Rio.
He then spent close to nine years in Dubai and Abu Dhabi teaching Jiu-Jitsu inside the official Army program, and two years at a well-known academy in Orlando before opening Ironclad.
He is a father of two boys, and that is where the rest of his time goes. The point of Ironclad, as he puts it, is to build people who are hard to break, on the mats and off them.
Your first class
Most people who walk in have never trained anything. Here is what actually happens.
What do I wear?
A t-shirt and shorts without zips or pockets. You do not need a gi to try a class, and nobody will comment on what you are wearing.
Do I need to be fit first?
No. Getting in shape is what training does to you, not what you do before you show up. Go at whatever pace you have that day.
Will I have to fight someone?
No. A first class is warm-up, a few positions and light drilling with a coach or a training partner who knows you are new.
How do I book it?
